BBC Breakfast’s Emma Vardy announces birth of son: ‘Presenting my best breaking news ever’

BBC Breakfast star Emma Vardy has welcomed her first baby with husband Aaron Adams.

The co-host of the morning news programme introduced her “best breaking news ever” on Instagram, the place she shared a photograph of herself cradling her new child.

Vardy first revealed her being pregnant in Might, when she shared a photograph of her child bump after a day of browsing in Co Sligo.

The BBC Eire correspondent wrote on Instagram: “Presenting my best breaking news ever. Child boy Jago Fionn is right here.

She added that she and Adams have been “smitten and so in love”.

The picture was a selfie taken from her hospital mattress as she cuddled the new child child, who has darkish hair and was wearing a white onesie.

Saying the news of her being pregnant in Might, Vardy posted a photograph of herself holding a surfboard as she showcased her bump.
